"Mr Recorder Winn told her: “That is an offence which causes enormous
distress and upset to those unfortunate enough to have to live beside
them................But Recorder Winn said he accepted Loftus, from
Rochdale Street, Wallsend, had never corrupted or threatened any of the
women working in her brothels". So evidence the "enormous distress" and
license the sex trade so that it takes place where neighbours consent
and are not offended. I would be fine with that.
I am an author, curator, dealer interested in the ephemera of travel and transport amongst many other enthusiasms. I am married to a wonderful wife and mother and our daughter Clare is already a National Trust life member. We hold or link to some exceptional resources as the main website shows. We do a lot of work with on-line auctions. Our interests are very eclectic as the range of blogs that we follow shows. Because we follow a blog do not immediately assume it is a 100% endorsement!
